The Best iPod Car Stereo Adapter

If you want to connect your iPod to a car stereo you need some sort of car stereo adapter unless your car stereo is iPod ready.  For most of us that leaves two options.  You can use an FM Transmitter as an iPod Car Stereo Adapter or for higher quality sound use a Cassette Tape iPod Car Stereo Adapter.  FM Transmitters such as those made by Belkin work by broadcasting your iPod tunes to a FM station you tune your car stereo to.  Some FM iPod Car Stereo Adapters can also charge your iPod which is nice.

If you want better sound and have a cassette tape player in your car stereo i'd suggest opting for the lower priced and better sound quality cassette adapter for iPod.  Many companies make "iPod Cassette Adapters" the reality is that the cassette adapter has been around forever because people wanted to plug their CD player into existing tape players.  In the beginning I got suckered into buying a crappy iPod Cassette Adapter from Belkin.  The sound was poor coming in from only one side and for $20.00 not acceptable.  I then was recommended to try the Sony CPA-9C Cassette Adapter.  This is a high performance cassette adapter that is not billed as something for an iPod but it works better than any other "iPod Cassette Adapter" i've seen.  Better yet its only $11.99 at Amazon.Com
